Topic 6
Trigonometric identities are the
expressions of equality where trigonometric functions are involved, like sine,
cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant and contangent. They help to formulate a
function of many ways through simplifying the formulas included in this
functions
The reciprocal identities vary from
each trigonometric
functions:
Sin(a)=1/Csc(a)
Cos(a)=
1/Sec(a)
Tan(a)= 1/Cot(a)
Csa(a)= 1/Sin(a)
Sec(a)= 1/Cos(a)
Cot(a)= 1/Tan(a)
The quotient identities are:
We can know the pythagorean
identities through the
Pythagoras theorem.
(sin(a))2+(cos(a))2=
1 so Sin2a+Cos2a=1
